My sister gifted me the KA-SEM in Blue Satin. We grew up going to Hawaii every summer with our family. After over 30 years, she never forgot how much I love the mysterious blue-green wonder of the sky and the ocean. I have no musical abilities whatsoever; however, once I had this ukulele in my hands, I was determined to learn. The multiple levels of teal color caught my attention, but the sound got me hooked. I get a little better with each day of practice; which makes the my music progressively fresher, richer, and more meaningful. The quality of the craftsmanship is solid and outstanding. The pearlescent white tuning pegs are gorgeous; and with the help of the Kala app, my amateur self can properly tune my strings. I am having such a wonderful time playing this ukulele. It won’t be my only or last Kala. This was my first, but it’s my most loved and respected treasure. I know it will give me many years of unrivaled joy of playing.

Know this uke is tough as I bought a damaged one cheap. Looked horrible. Tuners were pushed up, strings broken. Some scuffing etc. Because of it it was very cheap. Got to work on fixing it up. Tuners were scratched up but worked fine once I reset them. Scuffs buffed out & only little finish damage. Set it up, strung it, tuned it & it is one of my favorite ukes. Sounds good, plays easy, still some damage but looks good. Can't beat that.
