I have been playing a solid-body bass for decades, and only recently bought my first acoustic-electric Ubass. I loved EVERYTHING about it, except an unexpected feedback problem that occurred when I ran it through my amps, either while practicing at home or playing out and about. Placed my order for the Kala Feedback Freezer, and problem solved! My only complaint is that I wish it had the option of coming without the flat edge. While some models need this for it to settle under the fingerboard, my Scout could have accommodated one that was a full circle. Anyway, easily set in, and easily removed.

I got this so my kids dont put anything funny in my u-bass when it is not hanging up. Lowers the acoustic volume a bit, but very easy to remove if the extra volume is needed!

If you have a model that does not have a fretboard that comes all the way down to meet the device, then you can turn it so that the flat portion can be used as a thumb rest. Reduces feedback.
